Project Planning, Management and Measurement:

Championed the launch of Silicon Valley Obi Mobiles smartphone by John Sculley into East Africa hitting sales worth USD 1M of 10,000 devices in less than six months (Kenya only) with zero advertising budget. Actively pushing sales in over 800 retail outlets via visibility plans, key trade relationship management, branding, trade activations, incentives, and merchandising.

Go-To-Market Strategy:

Led, developed, and implemented the first-ever Go-To-Market plan geared towards achieving CFBE (Cash flow break-even) in 2018 for Pawame, a solar energy start-up based in Kenya. Part of the plan included a revamped referral program that increased sales lead generation by 20% through network marketing, digital media platforms, NPS (Net Promoter Scores) & market intelligence. I have gained valuable experience in managing both local and international brands that include but are not limited to Safaricom, OBI Mobiles East Africa, Brookside, Coca Cola, BAT, Hewlett Packard, Lenovo, Ericsson, Samsung, GSK Kenya, Commercial Bank of Africa, Housing Finance, Haco Tiger brands, SuperSport & Bundesliga, Bajaj Auto, Nairobi Bottlers Ltd, Bidco Ltd, Capwell Industries Ltd, Resolution Health among others

Market Research and Competitor Intelligence:

Developed deep insights and high-level business, investors and customer trends and analysis through industry reports, government reports, media/press articles, scholarly articles, case studies and expert thought leadership documentation. Other empirical methods to measure and evaluate performance included surveys, Questionnaires (clients/ customers), Sales Analysis (if the visibility is product Key Visual), Digital Awareness (Engagement rates), Publicity (brand influence, customer inquiries/traffic), Zoho for field data collection and Net Promoter Score to measure customer’s brand loyalty. Compiled and presented quarterly metrics and reports for board meetings

Team Management:

Led cross functional team management roles internally and externally with partnership and reseller management, vendors, media, PR/Advertising agencies including negotiating pricing agreements, and delivery of assignment to timeline and budget.
